Search using ID when linking records together

Search using ID when linking records together

Hello,

Right when we want to attach records together (by example link a request and an incident), we have to use the smart search.

We would like to also be able to search by id directly without using smarta, that would allow use to find record not yet indexed easily.

Thank you

Best regards

Hi, we will easily find the incidents in « enregistrements associés » (French version of Microfocus). We currently have an indexing problem that has never been solved and that would become possible with this evolution.

Hello, this evolution may provide a solution to the 8-minute indexing delay of the global search. Indeed if we can manually add the number of the incident on a request, if the link between the two tickets is done even later. The user will not be impacted by the delay anymore

For your issue there is a script on the marketplace you can use to reindex

Even when the indexing is running as it should, entering an id in the smart search field will not return the record with the id. This is frustrating for the users.
- Make it possible to search for id directly without waitng for smarta

and
- If the users usethe smart search field and enter an id, let smarta search on id
