Use time stamp in history & discussion tabs, not X hours ago

Briefly describe your idea
Instead of using 'x hours ago' use time stamp. Show on form vs. requiring hover.

Why is this important, when it would it be used
When talking to end user on phone, need to be precise with time/date of each event.

If you were designing the solution, how would  you do it?

ideally teh system would have a toggle, use "relative time/date stamps" or "use absolute time/date stamps" - available as a flag in teh applicatoin settings page for administrators to determine.

absolute timestamps should always be collected, and could be displayed in a simple (sortable) grid along with The activity.  Sortable by the timestamp only; not sortable by hour/day/month/etc.  only sortable by number of seconds since epoch (or whatever flavor of date tracking is being used today).

I don't think we should replace current functionality but provide both options. I am one of those people that relate more to '2 days ago' rather than on the '5th Jan 2pm'. It gives me a sense of how long between communications instead of trying to work out the duration on the spot.
