When ordering from catalog quantity is read only

Idea ID 1666455

When ordering from catalog quantity is read only

When ordering items from Service Portal (SMA Portal) you will have to press 200 times on the plus sign to order 200 items of the same kind because the field is read only.
If you for example are ordering 200 chromebooks and 200 sleeves you will have to press the plus sign 400! times before ordering.
Can the quantity field in Shopping Cart be made writable?
In addition you have to add the item to the cart before setting the quantity.

After you have selected the quantity in shopping cart and you press submit you get the wrong price before submit.

STR:
Request any service from the catalog.
On details page enter required fields and press ADD TO CART.
You must press the + button 200 times to order 200 objects.

Now in shoppting cart you can edit the quantity, if you get the wrong price  after you have selected the quantity in shopping cart, it should be a defect.

Hi @Ming-Feng

In SMAX 2019.08 (Mixed mode) it is not possible to change the quantity in any other way than pressing + or -. The field is read only.

@Arild Røkenes  yes, it works by design, you need press + or - to change quantity

Then why was this idea closed with status Already Offered? I've asked for a change in the behavior from being forced to press +  and - to write in the actual number you want.

@Arild Røkenes  you are right, that is some misunderstanding on the requirement, update the idea status to waiting for vote.

You have my vote. I would always prefer to type 200 then click on + 200 times.
