Smax rest api pagination ignoring query prams

Jump to solution

Hi all,

Since I have a lot of records  , I’m trying to limit the query size of below api call.

https://myserver/rest/my_tenant/ems/Person?layout=FirstName&meta=totalCount&size=50&skip=0

It seems the query prams are being ignored by the api, it throws below error:

{"httpStatus": 400,"message": "Number of entities requested exceeded the maximum (10,000)","developer_message": "","message_key": "query.num.of.entities.exceeded","message_rb": "locale/platform_ems_errors","message_arguments": ["10000"],"exceptionType": "IllegalArgumentException","correlationId": "RID-a86f0bcd-d3b2-4ccd-9cbf-164914b5d43f"}

Thanks in advance.

What is your use case to require more than 10k records?
If you are trying to do reporting, this should not be done using this API
You should use Postgres views or BI integration API.

Hello,

Pagination applies once the filter returns the records. The 10K (default) limit applies. Once the number of records is inside the limit, you can apply the pagination.

In my case there is no way to filter this records in order to avoid the exceeding limit (10k).
