HowTo Upgrade

Hi,

is there a documentation how to upgrade from GWAVA 6.5 at an SLES11SP3
to 'Micro Focus Secure Messaging Gateway' (OMG: Who create this name?)

And NO, this link
https://www.microfocus.com/de-de/documentation/secure-messaging-gateway/secure-gateway-2017/Post-Install_Tasks.htm
is not the solution! It shows 404! (with and without de-de)

Maybe go back to the novell-guys and let them show you how a
documentation system should look. SCNR

BTW: You (Micro Focus) choose Ubuntu as a solution for your
secure-messaging-gateway? ROTFL (Maybe you doesn't know it ... you can
use SUSE.)

Let me see what I can find out on the docs.

FYI, the Ubuntu decision was made by GWAVA when they were a separate
company from MicroFocus.

Have you tried using this:
https://www.microfocus.com/documentation/secure-messaging-gateway/secure-gateway-2017/secure-gateway.pdf
It contains a section on migration.

You might want to consider just setting up a new one rather than
migration. Understanding the new rules interface is the only hard
part. You can just setup the new one, compare the settings and then
cut over at your leisure. That's what I ended up doing and it worked
well. It was an opportunity to simplify some of my rules also.

Thank you very much! Will read and check.

Thx for the hint! Indeed we think to set up a new appliance and
reassemble the rules.
