Text Filter and Regular Expressions

Jump to solution

Does Text Filter support regular expressions?

If yes, documentation is missing it.

If no, how to deal with migrated GWAVA6 environments?

Yesterday I attended  a SMG session with @JoshGibbs which has been arranged by  @tstimper (Thank you, Thomas)

Josh stated that regular expressions will be supported in text filters.

Yes, I know. That's Gwava 6.5 and older.

But does it still work for text filters in SMG - there is no hint ...

True...

The TID does state:

  • Creation Date:14-Apr-2010
  • Modified Date:11-Sep-2017
  • Micro Focus Products:
    GWAVA (Secure Messaging Gateway)

...but in 2017 SMG was used to refer to all versions of GWAVA.

Because SMG is a new product, a complete rewrite of GWAVA, and because of the rather poor documentation, I can only think of two ways to find out:

  • Contact the developer
  • Try it

If you find out, let us know...

Can you also ask him what changes were made when this "fix" was implemented?

Revision: 163- created 02-Dec-2020
GWAV-3031 - Email sent via Internet to SMTP interface is scanned as INTERNAL

Thanks!
