You should have the ability to add read/write attributes to the helpdesk configuration. You already have the limited functionality to reset lockouts and change users' passwords. It seems a small step to add a limited set of attributes that the helpdesk-enabled user can quickly update on the user's behalf, assuming they have the directory permission.to do so. There s already an element of self-service, this is limited self-service by proxy
