Add language

SSPR is version 3.1 on SLES box.

I want to add a new locale. When using When using |Custom text|Edit text|Add Locale| nothing happens.

So how do you add a new language to the SSPR portal ?

Thnx

All known locales already have values assigned out of the box. To add a new
locale, you have to define it in Settings - Application - Known Locales and
save your configuration. When you next time open Configuration Editor, the new
locale will already be listed in Cutom Text - Edit Text, either as a copy of
the English locale or of any existing main locale, if you added an new version
(adding "de_CH::ch" will start out as a copy of "de::de", while adding "is::is"
will be a copy of the default "en::en")

Re: Add language

There's no 'copying' or specifying a default. The second code is just
used to determine what flag to show in the UI.

Ham, I did just what I described in my test install::

- added new locales de_ch::ch and is::is.
- saved config, then opened Conf Editor again
- went to Custom Text - Edit Text for Button_Activate.

Both new locales were already listed in the table of translations (I did not
have to use the "Add locale" button) and the "Deutsch (Schweiz)" text was set
to "Aktivieren" (same as standard locale "Deutsch") while "íslenska" had
"Activate"...

Maybe an extra in SSPR you do not have in PWM?

Go to Settings -> Application -> Known Locales (Advanced) and add your
locale there according to the instructions.

Must have missede this in the documentation.

Does anybody know how theese texts are store within the portal ? I.e. would it be possible to copy the files with the new language, and insert / replace, the files into a new .war-file ?
