Approval of New User Registration

Hello, I am brand new to SSPR so please bear with me if this is obvious 🙂

I have enabled New User Registration but I would like to add some sort of approval before the account is created.
The idea is that the new user specifies an existing user as sponsor along with his / her name, email, mobile etc, and then the sponsor has to approve the creation of the new account.
Any ideas how to do that?

Best regards
Stefan

eDir or AD as LDAP source? If it's eDir, just add a hidden field for loginDisabled and set the value to TRUE. You also have the Public User Activation Module....

Re: Approval of New User Registration

I am looking for a solution for bot AD and eDir.
Your suggestion is noted and could be a work around. I am sure that could work on AD as well.
But I am more interested in a solution where the request is approved before the account is created. I think it may be an external workflow that, when approved, initiates the New User Registration.
I will take a look at the Public User Action Module.

You're not going to get any type of workflow in SSPR, and because they removed the "guest" option from IDMProv, it only leaves custom web development. Your other option is to create new users in a restricted container in a disabled state, then enable and move them upon approval or, after x period of time, delete them....

That may very well be the solution we will run with.
Thank you for your input.
