Can we add any extra error in SSPR display Text column

I have recently installed SSPR 4.2., In config editor:
Under "Display text" >> "Error" column, I can see many default error messages already present. So my question is:

Can I add another error message, If yes what is the procedure to do that ?

Also, if I can't do that in SSPR, can pwm resolve that issue ?

Thanks

Could you explain where you would want this to show up? This sounds like
localization stuff, which would need to be referred-to in code somewhere,
so adding new strings would not help unless you also modified the code to
use them.

Re: Can we add any extra error in SSPR display Text column

Hi ab,

Thanks for reply, Let me explain it to you.

I have recently instaled SSPR so that users can use the "Forget password" funtionality via our application page Ealrlier instead of SSPR, we were using pwm.

Now the thing is that I had configure the SSPR so that it can communicate with my application (i.e www.auto-enrolmentmanager.co.uk) and as of now, it's working for that particular URL.

Now under my organization there are many other while label organization too and each has it own URL (such as csfs whhose URL is: www.auto-enrolmentmanager.co.uk/csfs )

Now my question is:

1. Is it possible to set Forget password funtionality for each white label organization via SSPR ? If yes, what are the steps/procedure to do that ?

-Thanks

Re: Can we add any extra error in SSPR display Text column

It sounds to me like you are using SSPR as an extension of something that
already exists, and as a result you want it to have the branding of that
something.

On top of that, you have multiple "somethings" which all look/feel/sound
slightly different, and you want SSPR to behave like each of them
depending on something identifying one vs. another.

If that understand is correct, what is going to SSPR to tell it which
application environment the user is in, or from which the user is coming
to reach SSPR? If nothing, how should SSPR know about the difference?

you could use something like Access Manager to do some branding stuff
depending on the URL used to access SSPR, maybe; this seems kind of like a
kludge. Another option may be to have on SSPR instance (they are pretty
lightweight) per context, and then have your users go to the right one
based on where they originate. This isn't a horrible thing with a few
different instances, but if you have hundreds or thousands, that would be
a major waste of resources, even though SSPR is fairly light on its own.

Different policies can be defined for different types of users, but I do
not know that it impacts the strings used overall, so maybe that is an
enhancement request.

There may be other ways, but none come to mind.

Hi there.

I don't know if I understand you correctly and my basis is PWM.

But... can't you accomplish those things with:

1) Different Ldap Profiles for each company.
2) Multiple themes for each company where you pass the theme (customization) according to the URL?
3) Some embedded JavaScript?

PS: Sorry if I misunderstood you.
