Can we generate token solely via SSPR

I have recently installed SSPR 4.2 and currently configuring it. Thus I would like to know that can the below scenario is possible:

1. I click on Forgot Password(using my application jsp) >> SSPR will redirect to enter mail/cn (based on configuration) >> Answers security question (set in config editor)

Now once I enter the answer to my security question, is it possible for SSPR to trigger a Mail to me containing a temporary password/token (something like: Tmp@123) and then logout.

2. Now if I enter my appication page using Username and Password(Temporary password/token send earlier via mail) once I enter it, SSPR will redirect me to change my password.

-Thanks

I've not done this, but the docs seem to indicate that you can:

https://www.netiq.com/documentation/self-service-password-reset-42/sspr-adminguide/data/b14kn4fj.html

Section 8.9

Although the online documentation is quite sparse on this (it tells you to look at the actual online help in the product).

Re: Can we generate token solely via SSPR

Thanks kjhurni for the output.

Actually I have recently accomplished it.

The Verification Method should be “SMS/Email Token Verification”
And Email should be set up with proper templates.

Thanks for the feedback!

I have submitted documentation feedback to request that they put the full documentation in there, rather than telling people to refer to the online help. A lot of times folks like to know BEFORE settings things up.

But good to know it's actually doable.
