Change password over response when login expired

Is it possible to change user password with response questions if the password expired and grace login too?

Try this function in SSPR 4.3.

Re: Change password over response when login expired

gturcsik,

It appears that in the past few days you have not received a response to your
posting. That concerns us, and has triggered this automated reply.

These forums are peer-to-peer, best effort, volunteer run and that if your issue
is urgent or not getting a response, you might try one of the following options:

- Visit https://www.microfocus.com/support-and-services and search the knowledgebase and/or check
all the other self support options and support programs available.
- Open a service request: https://www.microfocus.com/support
- You could also try posting your message again. Make sure it is posted in the
correct newsgroup. (http://forums.microfocus.com)
- You might consider hiring a local partner to assist you.

Be sure to read the forum FAQ about what to expect in the way of responses:

Sometimes this automatic posting will alert someone that can respond.

If this is a reply to a duplicate posting or otherwise posted in error, please
ignore and accept our apologies and rest assured we will issue a stern reprimand
to our posting bot.

Good luck!

Re: Change password over response when login expired

Hi,
I'm not sure it's possible to login and change the password since the account in this case is locked.
What is possible is to use the forgotten password feature.
I think you also need to allow users to unlock the account.

Hi,

What do you mean that 'allow users to unlock the account'?
Do you mean from SSPR?

Yes,
When using the forgotten password feature to change the password it is also possible to unlock the account if it is locked (by too many failed logins or similar)

If you mean that 'Allow Forgotten Password when Locked', it is working only when intruder lock.

I cannot find any setting where possible the unlock method at forgotten password.

Sorry, if the LDAP source is AD, this function is possible:
- Allow Authentication When "Must Change Password On Next Login" Is Set
- Allow Authentication When Password Expired

But this settings missing at eDirectory configuration.

Re: Change password over response when login expired

Ok,

Then I have mixed them up. I'm not even sure we have grace logins anymore in our system so that might be why I mixed them up. I was referring to intruder lock.
I think it should work but I have not tried.
If it doesn't you could open a SR for that since it essentially is what the product is for.
