Information gathering

Hello,
I'm looking for some information in regards to the appliance version of SSPR.
We require this data as part of the standard building, maintenance and support process of the environment.
1. What's the OS of the appliance? Assuming some sort of customized Linux kernel, however would like to know more details, if possible.
2. Any possible details for the allocation of mount points and the size of the volumes within the OVF?
3. Roughly, what is the expected size of the Oracle DB would be? Ideally, some growth pattern based on the amount of users.

Thank you.

  1. https://www.netiq.com/documentation/self-service-password-reset-43/sspr-adminguide/data/onlineupdate.html#onlineupdate
  2. Why don't you sign up for a trial and temporarily deploy on AWS to understand (if they fix the trial form that is)
  3. Depends on how you configure SSPR. You can have the audit logging go to the DB, then it will depend on what you audit and how many events you retain. You can have configuration such as user OTP tokens, etc stored in DB, so then it depends on users. I suggest you try the trial.

Re: Information gathering

Hello,
Thank you for your reply.
1. It seems that there's no mentioned as to the OS the appliance is deployed with.
2. I managed to get the trial, however the process of "converting" the OVF and uploading to AWS or Azure, where I have already deployed a windows version of the application, seems tedious and time consuming. I thought I would ask someone who already got the appliance deployed.
3. I have deployed the trial and by looking at the database I see that currently it occupies 10-15MB with 5 test users within it. It doesn't really tell me much. Was looking for some ballpark sizing.
