Intruder Lockout through mobile devices with OLD password

We have SSPR working for a year now, but the most service request from the customers is that the account get's locked at the time they just have changed there password.
This comes, we think, because many accounts also have a mobile device wich is connected to GMS for e-mail and calendar synchronisation. And this mail app on the device still trieds to connect
with GMS including the OLD password. This will get the account looks like it's 'attachted' and they get 'intruder lockout' status on the directory.
Also the mobile devices doesn't come with the message that the password is not correct, so the users get triggered to change the GMS configuration also with the NEW password the just changed on SSPR.

Does anyone have a nice solution for this? We do inform our users with e-mail, and also the get the message on the 'Display_Logout' screen that the must also put there NEW password on the mobile device(s). But
this is not enough. A trigger on the mobile device looks the best to us, but maybe you have other solutions or idea's ?
How did you solve this at your customers?

kind regards, Henk
