Password Reset and email address

Hi,

Is there any way (except in the mail templates) to set a separate email address for password reset tokens?

Sending a token to the ordinary email address when the user doesn't remember the password wont help but sending it to a private
mail box previously entered in the update profile module is of course a better choice.

The problem is that changes to the templates isn't recognized by the forgotten password module which thinks that the user has a
valid email address (the primary one).

The only solution I've found is to set the email address attribute to the private one and change all the other templates to use
the standard attribute.

Re: Password Reset and email address

Hi Tobias,

in one of my last PoCs I did what you were asking for:

1) We used the SSPR user details module (I can not recall the real name
for now) to enable the user to edit/set an attribute called
idmPrivateMailAddress
2) We changed the recipient mail Address in the template for the mail
containing the token to read it from this attribute.

I have not done the upgrade to the current SSPR version, but I am pretty
sure it was working with the version available around December

I would expect this to work, when you replace the default token @User:Email@
with @LDAP:homeEmailAddress@ in the template. Is this what you tried?
