Password email notification

Hi, I've set up sspr 3 to work with our eDirectory username accounts.
I'm currently in the need to email our external users when their password
is about to expire. Can this be done with SSPR?
If not, Does anybody know any working solution or method?
Thanks

No, SSPR does not notify user about upcoming password expiries.

IDM comes with a job to do this, see
https://www.netiq.com/documentation/idm402/idm_jobs/data/becc9hj.html for
details. Also I've written a loopback driver for this purpose a while ago, more
info about that at
http://www.novell.com/communities/node/2277/idm-35-password-notification-service
-driver. Other approaches outside the IDM framework exist, too, e.g.

Re: Password email notification

Lothar's approach is the best of this bunch.

It is a very good driver that is very flexible. If you have IDM I
guarentee that the more you look at it, the more clever IDM tricks you
will learn from it.
