SSPR 5045 An error occurred during the save of your respo

hi all

I am new in SSPR netiq.

I am getting SSPR 5045 An error occurred during the save of your response questions. Please contact your administrator.

I have given all specified rights to proxy user which is given in SSPR document but still getting this error.

In login window I have to provide cn=testuser,ou=users,o=novell. if i only give testuser then it will not search. I have provide proper details in LDAP setting still getting this error where I am doing wrong.

help me

thanks

How have you configured SSPR to work with your challenge/response data?
It can store them in eDirectory, or it can store them in its local database.

Could you elaborate on this? How did you grant the rights? Perhaps
export the rights via LDAP to show them as they are currently set in case
something is slightly amiss.

I suspect this is unrelated to your problem with challenge/response data,
and probably has more to do with the ability of SSPR to find the user
either because of a lack of rights or because the contextless login base
in specified incorrectly (tiny typos can cause issues).

I'm glad to hear that it is resolved for you. Just to be clear, generally
speaking it is not advised to store challenge/response data in the
database when you can do so in a directory instead. eDirectory is
replicated, and almost always on another box, so if/when something bad
happens to SSPR recovery of everything is little more than a restore of
your configuration via that SSPRConfiguration.xml file after you build a
new box; the same with clustering so you have multiple copies load
balancing or for failover: all data stored in the directory.

On the other hand, the way you are running now, you need to also backup
the database, and you have a single copy of the data otherwise, plus no
ability to share those among multiple SSPR instances. It may be fine for
you, but just be aware of the risks.
