SSPR - Helpdesk Search Form Customization

I know we can add different fields to the Help Desk Search form to display bits of data but is there a way we can transform or convert that data on the display?

For example, we have our SSPR 3.3.1 search form set to display the user's password expiration time which is stored in eDirectory as 20170622000000Z. When the search form returns its results is shows this value. Only when a helpdesk user clicks a record does the value convert to a more user-friendly value of June 22, 2017 6:00:00 PM CST as part of the user detail record.

Basically, what we are wanting to do is have the search form display the user-friendly value instead of the raw eDirectory value. I know that I could always use a driver in the IDM engine to convert that raw data to a different format and store that in a seperate attribute that could then be mapped to the search form but that seems unnecessarily complex for what should be an easy data conversion in the application that happens automatically in other screens.

Any ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I do not know that you can do this and maintain support, but that's just a
guess. Also as a guess, have you tried the 4.x version to see if this was
fixed in something current? Showingthe time in LDAP format is a ncie
start, but ultimately it would be nice if something meant to be used by
humans showed something expected by the current human (per their
environment settings) everywhere.
