Does this user have a challenge/response profile assigned? Just because
the are a user found by SSPR does not mean you have setup things like
challenge/response for them.

You may want to walk through the configuration. It seems like you are
missing a lot of settings based on the set of posts recently.

The way it works in 3.4 is that you make a Profile that defines a set of
things for different aspects of the product. Different modules,
forgotten password being one.

So no Profile assigned likely means that the user did not meet the
criteria of your CR profile, or else there isn't one.

The main criteria is an LDAP filter. So like you login issue, it seems
you were missing the LDAP filter to define where to look for users
logging in.

For you unable to find user name issue, looks like you are missing an
LDAP filter that matches your environment to define proper users.

I would guess you have the defaults set and that is all. Go through the
config look for all theh instances of an LDAP filter and put in one that
makes sense for your tree layout.

Re: SSPR forgot password issue getting error SSPR 5081

Hi,

Just wanted to fill in on a few details.
There can be several reasons for this error.
1. profile is wrong
2. password policy does not exist.

These two are written about in this TID: https://www.netiq.com/support/kb/doc.php?id=7017729

I just stumbled upon a strange case sensitivity.
If you have a dn of "ou=Users,o=data" while the actual name of the container is "ou=users,o=data" the test search will succeed in the configuration editor but the actual forgotten password functionality will fail , tested on version 3.3.
