Site URL unconfigured - IP change?

I had to change JUST the IP (okay subnet mask and default gateway as
well) of my SSPR 3.0.0.2 server

Now the configuration editor complains that:

> The site URL is unconfigured and can not be automatically discovered,
> please configure General -> Site URL

What does the SSPR software "look" for when trying to "discover" the
URL?

The /etc/hosts file is correct, as are the DNS entries

???

Re: Site URL unconfigured - IP change?

It looks at requests coming into the application by browsers. It will
ignore the requests from localhost or those containing IP addresses
until it sees a request with a FQDN.

If there's any ambiguity it's best just to set the Site URL as the
warning suggests.
