Browsing directory (AD on W2K3) using SLManager

I'm trying to browse the directory using the SLManager tool, and it
initially displays a '+' sign next to the OU that it starts against, but
when I click it nothing happens. Selecting the 'expand all' option
doesn't show anything either.

To browse the directory I'm having to manually enter the object's name
in the 'object' input box which doesn't seem particular user friendly
and it's very easy to crash the whole SLManager tool by entering badly
formatted data in here.

This is currently running in a test native AD environment using NSL 7
SP2 HF6 and the OS is Windows 2003.

Any ideas why it won't let me browse ?
