How to activate task bar application

I have an application with two .exe-files. The first one opens up and
offers the login page. The other one is minimized to task bar and has
the password change feature.
The goal is to force password change periodically which is fine but the
problem is that we need to activate the second .exe from the task bar in
order to run the password change script. How can this be done?

Thanks in advance!

Re: How to activate task bar application

Normally you can kick off a taskbar application through a command line.
You can then issue this command from within a definition. The hard
part will be working out what parameters have to be passed to the second
app.

Re: How to activate task bar application

We've worked out what to pass to the second app and it works fine
whenever we can get focus on it (like clicking it from the task bar).
Could you give an example of the command line?

Re: How to activate task bar application

First you need to know what the exe is. For NSL as an example the exe
is SLProto.exe Then you need to know what the parameters may be (it may
be that just running the exe will do what you want). SLProto has a few
switches such as

/displaymenu Display the system menu
/shutdown Shutdown SecureLogin (if running)
/nochange Don't watch for user changing in NDS or SecretStore mode
/reload Reload SecureLogin
/runstartup Run the startup scripts

So running SLProto.exe /displaymenu will display the system menu. Each
app is different but there is normally something that will cause the app
to load.
