RsoPProv.exe & SecureLogin

hi there,

still working on installation of SecureLogin 8.0.1 on (in this case)
windows server 2008 r2.
atm i´ve seen strange behaviour when using slaptool (for importing
..xmls) or accessing securelogin configuration / appl-defs via ADUC.

with each of mentioned operations it looks as if slproto starts
RsoPProv.exe which consumes a lot of CPU for a few minutes and finally
exits again. only when exiting the sso-operation i wanted to finish,
does so (eg. slaptool import takes a few minutes, only when rsopprov.exe
has done it´s job. when the process rsopprov is killed, the import
finishes instantly).

anybody has any idea what might be happing here?

thanks in advance, florian

Re: RsoPProv.exe & SecureLogin

what i forgot, disabling the service 'Resultant Set of Policies' makes
SecureLogin work as expected.

Re: RsoPProv.exe & SecureLogin

RsoPProv is used by SecureLogin if GPO-Feature is installed. Why it
takes so much time remains nebulous.

Since we did not install GPO (command-line installation, not
responsefile) we wondered how that came. Reason is that the installation
documentation is not correct in the parameter for installing features.
it´s not APPENDLOCAL, but ADDLOCAL. both parameters are accepted, but
only ADDLOCAL does what it is told (compare with response.ni, where the
documentation is correct [and using ADDLOCAL]).

in this kb-document it´s correct:
