error "Your password or PIN is incorrect"

Hi there,
We're using NSL 7.0.2 on Windows XP sp3 and eDirectory mode. All things
are OK when logging into eDirectory but if we login "Workstation only"
we are having the subject error message. This happens after a
successful workstation-only login which is followed by a successful NSL
prompt to login with network credentials (a greyed out user context is
displayed). Scripted applications are working fine with NSL at that
point.

If we then right click the blue hand icon on the sys tray we are
prompted for Network password (as expected) but this fails with "Your
password or PIN is incorrect"

I've checked an older posting regarding Network Provider keys but it
wasn't that issue.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated,
Kirk

Re: error "Your password or PIN is incorrect"

Are you entering the workstation password or the eDir password (if
different)? Out of curiosity, why the workstation-only login? I'm
guessing for laptops when not near the network, but just wanting to be sure.

Good luck.

Hi again!

Your on all the forums. edir pwd = workstation pwd courtesy of ZENworks
Dynamic Local User. Yes it is a laptop that has brought this up but I
can duplicate it on a PC too.

Cheers,
Kirk

Yes, many, but unfortunately NSL is a place where the force is weak with me.

The reason I asked is that I found a TID stating you needed to login with
the workstation one. Have you tried this with a workstation account that
was not managed by DLU? I'm curious if something about the "dynamic"
aspect could be playing into this, but I do not really know.

Good luck.
