single sign on for putty

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to single sign on for putty but its not working properly.
As single sign on for putty will only works using the key strokes feature in secure login, I have tried this without success.

Can anyone help me how to single sign on for putty, is there any special configurations required or any document?

Re: single sign on for putty

Do you need to do it via SecureLogin? Putty, as an SSH client,
understands SSH keys, so you could probably use those, or better yet (in
my opinion) download Cygwin so you have that SSH client which gives you
the native openssh functionality present on your server, including SSH
keys again. The purpose of SSH keys is to avoid the use of passwords
while also increasing security significantly because key sizes are much
larger than passwords, cannot be typed or effectively brute-forced, are
not vulnerable to key loggers or shoulder surfing, and can be setup to
only allow certain commands on the server side even.

Good luck.

Re: single sign on for putty

for automated login to putty sessions one can use the tool "Pageant" from the author of "putty" on a Windows Client.

Pageant uses certificates to automate the Login. You should find enough documentation in the web for configuring this.

Re: single sign on for putty

To configure SecureLogin SSO functionality for Putty application. You can try the following configurations.
SecureLogin Putty application sample script:
WaitForText "ogin as:"
SetPrompt "Username:"
Type $Username
SendKey "\n"
Delay 100
SetPrompt "Password:"
Type $Password
SendKey "\n"
SetPrompt "Please enter your telnet credentials below:"
Delay 100

SecureLogin "Terminal Launcher 64" sample configuration:
Emulator Type: Generic
Emulator Path: C:\Program Files\PuTTY\putty.exe
Output IDs: 368
Input IDs: 400
Window Title: - PuTTY
