PCI Solution Pack: Demo Data

This package provides a script that will populate data into Sentinel 7 that can be used to demonstrate the PCI DSS reports.

Instructions for using this package are below.
README For Sentinel PCI DSS DEMO
Summary: ------------------
This package provides a script that will populate data into Sentinel 7 that can be used to demonstrate the PCI DSS reports with zero or minimal implementation/configuration.

Prerequisite: -------------
1) Sentinel 7.0.1
2) The PCI DSS 2011.1r1 solution pack must be imported and the controls with the reports you wish to demo installed.

Note: -------------------
This script assumes Sentinel is installed in the default location (e.g., /opt/novell/sentinel).
This script will restart the Sentinel service.
This demo script will prompt for the Sentinel admin user password.
This tool will typically take 5 minutes to complete the whole process.

Steps to use this tool: --------------
1. Login as root onto the Sentinel Server.
2. Copy the "Sentinel_PCI_DSS_demo.tar.gz" file onto sentinel server, into the /tmp directory (or whatever directory you prefer).
3. Change your current location into the directory /tmp.
4. Untar the Sentinel_PCI_DSS_demo.tar.gz using the command "tar xzvf Sentinel_PCI_DSS_demo.tar.gz". You'll see that two files were created in the directory Sentinel_PCI_DSS_demo :
- Sentinel_PCI_DSS_demo/PCI_DSS_demo.sh
- Sentinel_PCI_DSS_demo/PCI_demo_data.tar.gz
5. Change your current location into the directory /tmp/Sentinel_PCI_DSS_demo.
6. Run the PCI_DSS_demo.sh script (by using command "./PCI_DSS_demo.sh"), which will do all the configuration and loading of demonstration data.
7. Login to Sentinel WEB UI as "admin" user and run the reports with the date range set to cover the time range when the script in the last step was run. For example, if you just ran the script moments ago, use the date range "Current Day".

Note: This package provide demonstration data for the 19 reports below, out of the total 29 PCI DSS reports in the solution pack.
