Debugging JavaScript Actions ?

I have created a script file in the /opt/novell/sentinel/bin/actions
directory on the Sentinel 7 Server and I could use in a correlation rule
to create an incident.

Now I want to debug the Action files from the Sentinel Control Center
by using the Action debugging option.
So I select the desired Incident and click the desired Javascript
Action after I click the Action Debugging.
A window opens to show the progress of the action, the debugger panel
displays the source code at a stroke and then finally displays screen
black.

When I click "Run" Button to start the debugging process, I get below
error message:
"unterminated regular expression literal ...."

I have not been able to debug the Action files from the Sentinel
Control Center by using the Action debugging option.
Is there a way or any suggestions to help fix this problem?

Thanks in advance

Post your code here. Having an unterminated regex literal should
hopefully be easy to spot.

How can this troubleshooting within the SCC be easier? I have no idea;
I've never tried troubleshooting non-collectors this way but I would
probably try at least running the ECMAscript through an interpreter
before using it within an action to verify syntax. The Rhino library
used for ECMAscript/Javascript interpretation within Sentinel (and IDM,
and many other things) is online as well as available within Sentinel
with minor amounts of command line work so you can feed your script to
it and see if it complains about parsing errors (like this one appears
to be to me) before going through the entire action build process.

Google for more information on the Rhino project/package.

Good luck.
