Elasticsearch replica shard configuration doesn't apply

Hi

I am using Sentinel Server 8.2 and have configured Elasticsearch shard count according to this document: https://www.netiq.com/documentation/sentinel-82/install/data/t462ks69vwjj.html
However, when I changed the number of primary shards to 1 and the number of replica shards to 0, it only applied the number of primary shards.
The number of replica shards is still 1 and not 0.

And yes, I assume that the cpnfiguration only applies to new indices and they are created with 1 primary and 1 replica.

Hi,

Yes, your assumption is correct. The changes will be applied only to the newly created indexes but, not for the existing ones.

I know that, just stated that in case the first reply would be "just wait until a new index will be created".

To be very clear, it did not change for new indices when it comes to replica shards, the new config only applied to primary shards.
