MSSQl server must be needed to install Sent. Agent Manager?

I want to install Sentinel Agent Manager in two Windows computer. First
one as a central computer another one is agent computer.
Then I need the log details in Sentinel.
To complete this installation, Will I install the MS SQL server as a
database server? if yes, then why?
And will I need to install separate reporting server for the same?
kindly give the answers.

Yes, the documentation states you must install an ms-sql server. Why,
besides the documentation says so, I do not know for sure. I'm guessing
it is because that was a requirement before and the integration with
Sentinel did not remove that requirement while making new functionality
available to Sentinel.
