OutOfMemoryError


Hi,

from today i obtain a memory dump in the log folder when in active view
window with events below i hit an intervals in the graphich chart.
In the thas query log there's this event error:

The process that died was das_query from the log message at the end
(makes sense since this is the das_query log as you stated). A
GCOverheadException usually means that your system was not reclaiming
enough memory considering the amount of time spent in garbage collection
as it would like and as a result it gave up and dumped that core. It
may be interested to submit that to Novell's/NetIQ's Support group to
see if anything in there explains why garbage collection would have been
so unproductive, though in the past this has been tricky to troubleshoot
if not easily reproducible.

I would start (other than submitting to the Support group via a Service
Request (SR)) by ensuring the system has adequate resources for whatever
it is doing as far as events per second. das_query is involved in a lot
of things so almost any part of Sentinel could have a problem and
eventually touch das_query.
