Raid 10 for 24SAS drives

Hello,

I'm preparing server to use for Sentinel, which has 24x 10K 900GB SAS
drives and mirrored pair for OS.

Would would be the most recommended setup?

R16+6 R!6+6 and Raid 0 on top?

Many thanks,

malkor

Re: Raid 10 for 24SAS drives

What are your primary goals from the disk array? Storage space, read or
write performance, other?

I do not know how much a recommendation for this type of question will be
specific to Sentinel; if you have experience optimizing storage of this
kind then you likely know enough to make your system do what your needs
demand as well as anybody in here. If you're after expertise in this
(storage) area in general, you may want to try the SLES forums.

Good luck.
