Create users?

Someone just asked the question can HPSA be used to create accounts on a managed server using an automated method (assuming the agent is already deployed to that server).  I would gather you can create them a number of ways manually but not sure about automated.  

Use case: HPSA managing a bunch of server - HP SiteScope is going to be used to monitor them but an account is required to exist on the managed server.  Is there an automated method for creating this account?

how about deploying a script job that contains a script that creates the user to all the managed servers

That could work. Didn't think about a script. So you would 1) Create the script in HPSA to adduser etc 2) run it against whatever managed server you needed to create that account on 3) Done!

Is that process sound right?

Yep, exactly what I had in my mind as well, I also talked to a few of my colleagues and we all agree this is a good approach

You can use the built in future, Users&Groups SMO

Just make a GOLD server, use that feature to import the users &/or groups in SA and deploy them using a software policy.

You can also have an application config template for user,group, and shadow.  Then have one for sudo as well.

You'll just have to also ensure the perms are what you need them to be for the files as well.
