(SA) Support Tip: How to stage the packages/patches in a different directory?

By default software packages/patches are staged in "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Opsware\agent" on Windows servers and in /var/opt/opsware/agent on Linux servers.

This location can be changed by the custom attribute "package_download_dir"

The Microsoft Offline Catalog file and other files used for Windows Patch Management will also be downloaded at the location specified by this custom attribute (provided there is enough space)..

This custom attribute can be very helpful when installing packages on servers with low disk space.
