SA2018.08 installation with remote Oracle 19c Database

Jump to solution

Hi all,

I have manually installed a remote Oracle 19c DB for SA2018.08. But when using the base SA2018.08 installer binaries, it complains that Oracle 19c is not supported during the prerequisites checks.

I have patched the Installer medias with SA2018.08.009 rollup patch, but it is still not getting any help.

The installation is checking the prerequisites using this file "/T8900-15069/T8900-15069-primary/disk001/opsware_installer/prereq/Linux_core_inst_rqmts.conf". At the end of this file, it does not have Oracle 18c and 19c listed as the "prereq_oracle_version".

Does adding the Oracle 18c and 19c version number to this parameter help to pass the checks? or there are other things that might need to be patched up before allowed to proceed with the installation?

Any advice is appreciated.

Thank you.
JL

Try simply by continuing with the installation.

You should be able to ignore that check. Please try to ignore it and go past it.

Hi Adrian,

how can I ignore/bypass this check? By adding the version into the precheck .conf file? or simply by continuing with the installation?

Currently it is showing:
"FAILURE Oracle version 19.0.0.0.0 is not supported.
WARNING Will continue to run prerequisite checks. Follow error messages may be due to previous Oracle failures."

Thanks.
