Updating SUSE servers.

Jump to solution

Are there any future plans to add a SUSE (SLES) Linux update importer to SA?

What is the best way to import SUSE updates into SA and update SUSE (SLES) servers on a monthly basis?

Thank you for the information. I'll read up on the Zypper package manager in SA.

We plan on adding ~25 SLES servers to our environment in the next few months. We are looking to patch these severs once a month, with patches that were released in the previous month.

In our scenario, it would be ideal to have one policy per SLES version. The import process would automatically add the latest imported patches to the policy. Then we would remediate the policy against the SLES servers on a schedule.

Zypper Patching Support

  • SA now supports Zypper as the package manager used by remediation jobs on SLES 11 GA or later.

Thank you for participating today.
