Purchase Date not showing up on item details

I have included purchase date in my csv file to be imported into Network Infrastructure Category of Items. The records all import and when I look at Item list, the purchase date shows up. However, when I select a specific item, the purchase date in nowhere to be found. Not on the Information tab, nor the Details tab.

When I create an item manually (not using AMIE), the purchase date is automatically filled in with the current date and time.

Is there no way to see/edit the purchase date for Items?

A Microfocus Service Desk expert explained to me that in order to see/edit purchase date and other related information, I must be a member of the Finance group. When I added myself to my service desk finance group, I can now see and edit the purchase date on the Cost tab of the items.
