No. There is not a single document which includes everything.

However, the following documents provide an overview:

  • the Best Practices PDF embedded in the Help Server is a good overview from the business perspective (what processes are supported and how are they enabled in the OOB system). For process desginer builds, there are updated Best Practice Guides on HP Live Network (hpln.hp.com) which would replace the OOB guide for PD modules.
  • The Tailoring Best Practice guide embedded in the Help Server provides an overview of traditional tailoring methods and tools. For Process Desginer modules, the PD Administrator guides are available on HPLN. This would be used in addition to the base tailoring guide (traditional forms, links, etc. still are used in PD systems); the PD guide focuses on the PD security model, workflow engine, and rule set configuration.
  • The Programming Guide provides details on the RAD and JavaScript implementations in Service Manager.

The SM Help topic "Service Manager documentation set" includes a listing of almost all SM documentation. The related 'Service Manager White Papers" topic lists some additional items which may be relevant to your implementation. There are additional white papers available on Self-Solve Search. (Note: when searching for white papers, just select the item type "white papers" but do not specify a version: white papers are not version tagged).

Hi,

you may get an overall impression by reading the pretty new technical white paper "Service Manager Feature History", which came out in september, 2014. It describes all the features added since Service Center 5.x.
