Нow to use Knowledge Management module instead of IRQUEUE for text searching in SD&IM, etc.?

Hello everybody,

we use IRQUEUE for full text searching in SD&IM&IMtasks and so on.

But after the quantity of SD and IM each became more than 1 million of records, the IRQUEUE started to work absolutely unstable, the regeneration executed several days.

In one post I've seen that as a solution it's possible to use Knowledge Management module instead of IRQUEUE, which is new technology.

Does anybody know how to use Knowledge Management module instead of IRQUEUE for text searching in SD&IM?

You can get an overview of Smart Analytics here

Also from SM9.62 IR can use the database full text search, see this

Note that in SM 9.62 IR was redesigned, from the Release Notes:

New IR search

The new IR Expert solution leverages the native Full-Text Searching feature in DBMS, which enables rapid searching based on preprocesssed documents in DBMS. The new solution dramatically enhances search performance and reduces configuration effort by Service Manager administrators. The new IR Expert supports the Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL databases.

What this means is that there is no longer an IR Queue, no more IR corruption that forces you to do a regen, decreased shared memory requirements and no more stability issues.    There are no changes in the UI, to the end user the change is transparent.
