Add Classification Hierarchy

Hi, We use HP Service Manager 9.30 in Windows server. We want to add new classifications as the same of (Area, Subarea and problem.type) for business purpose. So we created two tables, to take all fields which are under "service" field from the other table, as the below statement: $query+="and service# service in $file" But the list which came from this statement all fields without any filter based on "service" field!! Kindly can you help us to filter fields based on the service field.

Re: Add Classification Hierarchy

We have Two tables, parent and child tables.

The Parent table is called "area" and it has Two fields(service, area).

Sample of Data:

service "A": area "A1", area "A2".

service "B": area "B1", area "B2".

The Cheild table is called "suggestsolution" and it has Three fields (service, area, product.type).

Sample of Data:

service "A": area "A1"(product.type "A11"), area "A2"(product.type "A21", product.type "A22").

service "B": area "B1"(product.type "B11", product.type "B12"), area "B2"(product.type "B21").

We want the child table "suggestsolution" to read from the parent table "area", and we tried to link them from child link format by the below statement:

$query+="and service# service in $file"

After this query the parent's values came but without filtration; all "Area" fields came whether that which "Service" I selected.

Re: Add Classification Hierarchy

Hi,

Could you help to replace the "$file" with "$File" and do a test again?
