Re: Add Telephone number in the ESS interface

Hi,

Where do you want to display the information?

And I suppose you'd like to display a static phone number from IT team, right?

I need to understand your requirement first.

Thanks,

Re: Add Telephone number in the ESS interface

For login user, you need to change following:

1. add a new line in Calculation in login.DEFAULT format control like below:

add: true, calculation: $lo.contact.phone=contact.phone in $file1

by default, $file1 is the contact records queried in the Queries in login.DEFAULT.

After this change, when user login to the system, the global variable $lo.contact.phone will be initialized as the user's phone number.

2. change the format ess.SD.open, add a lable with input $lo.contact.phone.

After this change, when user open a new interation on ess.do, they can view their own phone number on the open format.

However, to me, a user login to view his/her own phone number doesn't make sense. May be I didn't get your requirement right.

Re: Add Telephone number in the ESS interface

Hi,

thanks a lot. it works fine in the ess.sd.open format.

but i cannot display this information in the sd.update.interaction format; i added a label in the sd.update.interaction with "$lo.contact.phone" as input .

how can i retrieve this information there ?

Re: Add Telephone number in the ESS interface

No you don't need to change the format control for SD.update.interaction.

The step should be the same:

1. add a new line in Calculation in login.DEFAULT format control like below:

add: true, calculation:?$lo.contact.phone=contact.phone in $file1

by default, $file1 is the contact records queried in the Queries in login.DEFAULT.

After this change, when user login to the system, the global variable $lo.contact.phone will be initialized as the user's phone number.

2. change the format SD.update.interaction add a lable with input $lo.contact.phone.

After this change, when user open a new interation on index.do, they can view their own phone number (not the interaction contact's phone number) on the format.

Not have enough time to test it today.

I believe you are looking for a solution like below:

In that case you can use the html viewer + <tel:> tag.
