Auto close change when the last task associated with the change is closed

Hi,

     I am using SM 9.30,

We have a scenario where we have to auto close the change record when the all the tasks associated with the change are closed.

Please help on the same..

Re: Auto close change when the last task associated with the change is closed

Hi,

I found the oposite I think 🙂 -> Auto close change tasks

However my Idea is that this may be possible to be achived from

This behavior is set through the change phase definition.
Go to phase definition of the phase for which you do want to make the changes.

In the "Alerts/Open & Close Behavior" tab select the follow two radio buttons
1. "Close - open next phase or exit on last phase (no cancel)".
2.Open - prompt for update (no deferral)

and also another idea:

Re: Auto close change when the last task associated with the change is closed

Hello,

are u using process designer? if not, in the phase definition record, you can check "close this phase" in the model/task section.

HTH.

Re: Auto close change when the last task associated with the change is closed

If you are using process designer, you can use the change the parent change status to 'value" when all tasks are closed option in the phase definition and add an automated transition to the next phase that executes when that status is set. (The option to automatically close when all tasks are closed doesn't appear to work with PD right now--9.33 PD4).
