Automatically start emailout.startup process

Jump to solution

Every time I restart SM service, instead of going to System Status and manually starting emailout.startup (outbounding email), I would like to set automatic start.

Tried below steps:

1. Type "info" in command box, landing at Background Processor Initialization Registry

2. Search for Type "startup"

3. Add entry at bottom:

- 1st try:

  - Name: emailout

  - RAD Application: sm -emailout

- 2nd try:

  - Name: emailout

  - RAD Application: scheduler

  - Class: SMTPMail

  - Wakeup Interval (secs): 30

  - Priority: 1

For 1st try, after restarting SM service, emailout is not started. No emails sent out.

For 2nd try, after restarting SM service, in System Status there is an entry "SMTPMail", but still no emails sent out.

How to set emailout auto startup? Many thanks.

You can just add the following parameter in the "sm.cfg" file in the RUN folder.

sm -emailout -log:../logs/EmailOut.log

In the above parameter the EmailOut.log file will be created in the log folder and it is an optional parameter.

Hope it helps.

Thanks.
