Can I capture the option() that was used from a menu and pass it to a Script or Process?

How can I capture the option() that was used from a menu and feed it into an old fashioned Script or a Process.
I'm playing around with the old fashioned ESS portal and was attempting to add buttons to kick off different URLs.
I know I could run us.launch.external on the menu for each button, but I was looking for a more elegant method.
So I looked at a script.execute and was trying to capture the Menu number to kick off the different URLs.
Any Ideas?
Thanks!

I'm affraid that option() isn't working for menu options, you would have to create buttons with displayoption to do it.
