Chat server 9.41.0020 Installation issue

Jump to solution

I am trying to install and configure chat server 9.41.0020 but I get stuck at step

"j. Follow these steps to enable the Apache reverse proxy:"

"v.i  Append the bold face reverse proxy configurations to the default virtual host configurations as follows:"

ProxyPass /of-http-bind https://<Openfire server address>:<Openfire HTTP binding port>/http-bind ProxyPassReverse /of-http-bind https://<Openfire server address>:<Openfire HTTP binding port>/http-bind   ProxyPass /of-plugins  https://<Openfire server address>:<Openfire secured Admin Console port>/plugins ProxyPassReverse /of-plugins  https://<Openfire server address>:<Openfire secured Admin Console port>/plugins

server address: localhost

HTTP binding port: 7443

Admin Console: 9091

This is all configured "as is" and following the manual.

But now I get an error when starting httpd.exe:

AH00526: Syntax error on line 153 of C:/Apache24/conf/extra/httpd-ahssl.conf:
ProxyPass|ProxyPassMatch needs a path when not defined in a location

And I don´t know what to do here 😞

Anybody can help?

Regards

Carsten

I believe I had the same issue, make sure ProxyPass and ProxyPassReverse and on seperate lines. Now I am not 100% sure the paths are correct, but I stopped seeing the error.

ProxyPass /of-http-bind https://localhost:7443/http-bind
ProxyPassReverse /of-http-bind https://localhost:7443/http-bind

ProxyPass /of-plugins https://localhost:9091/plugins
ProxyPassReverse /of-plugins https://localhost:9091/plugins

Thanks

Re: Chat server 9.41.0020 Installation issue

Hi Team,

In my environment i have setup SSL based Single-Sign On using my client certificates for HP SM 9.41 Web(index.do) and SRC, I have used Apache 2.2 and Tomcat version 8. It is working fine.

But now i need to setup chat feature. For this i have setup chat server, LWSSO as per the interactive installation guide, but now how i need to update exisitng setup so that chat feature will be enabled in HP SM web. Also i see  interactive installation guide says to use Apache24, as mine is Apache 2.2.

I am successfully able to setup the LWSSO,OpenFire Chat server, but i am stuck at Tomcat andDeploy the Apache HTTP server part.

Please let me know if anyone have the similar setup?

Thanks & Regards
