Re: Contact details for multi company

The company table has records for each supported company.

If you want to segment the contacts table, so a user sees only contacts for a company, you can populate the company field in the contact records. Then you can filter the contacts accessible to the user when opening a ticket in a number of ways:

  • You could update the fill link expression to limit the user to contacts from their own company, based on the $lo.company value (I think that's the variable for the logged in user's company, but you can always create one in login.DEFAULT).
  • If this only applies to Service Desk agents (e.g. each company has it's own agents), you could configure mandanten against contacts and assign security groups limiting the contacts the user sees based on company.

There are lots of ways to approach this type of filtering. The current requirement statement is fairly vague, so it's not really possible to be specific.

Re: Contact details for multi company

John,

Thanks for the reply!

What we are looking for, If company A service desk agent login he/she needs to see Contact records/customer profile only for company A. VIce versa for the company B service desk agent login he/she needs to see e Contact records/customer profile customer profile only for company B.

One more thing how can we restrict the search (SD, IM) feature.

Tom
