ESS starting page

Jump to solution

I have created a dashboard and want to set it as staring page in ESS. I have created new item in ESSSM menu to open dashboards and set it as ESS starting page in operator table. But menu.gui.home format is opening which is set in ESSSM menu format option. Setting another item as starting page in operator table opens specified format correctly.

Why dashboards are not opening on load? What else should I do to open dashboards on load in ESS

Self Service Operators (ess.do) cannot use dashboards.

There was an old Enhancement Request open for this topic:

QCCR1E31627 Display Dashboards in the employee self service client

But since our process has changed, we need the enhancement in our IDEA exchange:

https://community.microfocus.com/t5/SMA-Idea-Exchange/idb-p/SMA-X-Ideas

At the moment no idea is open for that topic. If you need that, please open an IDEA topic.

But you need to know that ESS users have only restricted access and can see only interactions. You will not be able to display other records (e.g. incidents, changes) in ESS Client even if you would use dashboards.

Hello, Luis!

We using SM 9.40.

1. Created new dashboard and set it as default for user

2. Added new option in ESSSM menu with following settings:

    - Option # = 15; Description = Dashboard; Application = us.launch.internal; Parameter Name = url; Parameter Value = dashboard.do; Condition = true

3. Set "Self Service Starting Page:" as Dashboard in operator table

But dashboards are not shown after logging. But opens if I open from menu. Am I doing everyting correct?
