Error message when logging into Web client - SM 9.41

When I log onto our Web client, I receive this error message:

I received a fix for our 9.40 system ( QCCR1E124742_SM941_SM930 ) and it was successful, but now we're getting this for 9.41.

The SL-SMModuleConfig in 9.41 is the same as in the above unload.

I wasn't able to reproduce but it does look like Steve may be right.  I compared your trace with mine and your trace ends here:

{"scriptName":"SMCRemoteService","functionName":"getUserInfo","params":["hollinla",true]}</scriptargs></service></SOAP-ENV:Body></SOAP-ENV:Envelope>

If you following that SMCRemoteService to getUserInfo you'll find it calls getUserInfo which calls GetContactByOperator which eventually calls getContact.  If what Steve mentioned isn't the exact issue you can debug those portions to see what may be missing.

Hi Larry,

Do you also have the SL record RemoteJavascriptService as well?

Looking at SMModuleConfig, it calls:

lib.SMCRemoteService.getConfigInfo()

lib.ReportService.queryReportModuleConfig()

lib.TodoAlertService.getTodoAlertConfig()

lib.LiveActions.initial()

It doesn't call RemoteJavascriptService...

Hi Larry,

I had just found a issue that referenced that SL record.  Can you turn on debughttp:1 and try logging in again to confirm *upload the sm.log after)?  The solutions that fixed this was to run from a 9.41 system QCCR1E114612_SM940_SM930 and the other QCCR hotfix you mentioned orginally.

Jason,

I went ahead and added debughttp:1 to the sm.ini and logged in again, but I did not see anything resembling:

*upload the sm.log after)?

in either the sm.log or the http.log

Can you attach QCCR1E114612_SM940_SM930 so I can give it a try to fix this.

Thanks - Larry!

Hi Larry,

Woops, my apologies.  I meant to upload the sm.log here after you turned on the trace parameters.  What I would be looking for in the sm.log is "<service><name>jsexecutescript</name><scriptname>RemoteJavascriptService.call" and then possibly an error code.  If this isn't found then the solution I mentioned above may not be the same.

I can see errorCode 9 in your sm.log. QCCR1E114612 is mentioned in the sm 9.41 release notes so it should be included with the SM 9.41 media. Good luck.

Hi Larry,

I would backup the db and test unloading the reference QCCR (I've attached it for you just in case) and seeing if that helps.  If not i'd open a case to get a little more in depth investigation as to what could be wrong version wise.

I loaded it, but I am still getting the same message when I login.

I backed it out and compared it to the OOB version and it is the same.

So basically, using the upgraded sl-RemoteJavascriptService, changing it to OOB or loading QCCR1E114612_SM940_SM930.unl all results in the same error...

I think that QCCR1E114612 is for 9.40 perhaps.

Since my 9.41 OOB system doesn't get the error, perhaps we might be looking at the wrong area in SM.

Hi Larry,

Ok, can you tell me what version of SM RTE/Apps and the Webtier you're on and i'll see if I can reproduce it.  In your original post did you load that QCCR and then receive that message?  Just let me know the version and what you introduced to reproduce it and i'll test.

Thanks Jason.
