Error on fill on logical.name after upgrade

Jump to solution

Experts,

We have upgraded to SM9.41

I am working on the logical name fix.

We have added alot of custom fields into our 'device' table. So far, i have completed till moving the logical.name field values into display.name column.

I was testing one of the link record to make the necessary change, when i clicked on the fill button, I recieve the below error

 2024( 3228) 09/14/2016 18:23:16 RTE E API=SQLNumResultCols [in sqmssqlOpen], Statement=SELECT t1m1."LOGICAL_NAME", t1m3."DISPLAY_NAME" FROM DEVICE2M1 t1m1 WHERE t1m1."LOGICAL_NAME" IN (?,?,?,?) ORDER BY t1m1."LOGICAL_NAME"
2024( 3228) 09/14/2016 18:23:16 RTE I sqmssqlOpen - Getting number of items in select list failed

In our device table, the display.name field is mapped to the m3 table. Is this the reason for the above error.

How do I overcome this error ?. please guide.

thx

dev.

Hi Bravo,

I see you have upgraded your SM from a lower version to 9.41

Please share your experience? what are the difficulties you faced and what was your approach?

by approach i mean. directly from lower version to 941 or some stopover at any intermediate version.

How much time it tookfor the upgrade,  for a fairly customised SM with basic modules(IM, CM, PM, SD, RFM)

Any changes with the database needed.

Thanks in advance for you reply.
