Failed to attach excel and word file in HPSM 9.40

Jump to solution

Hi Team,

we have HPSM 9.40 in our environment. I am trying to attach excel and word file from ess login and it shows FAILED with below message. Kindly suggest asap. I have checked the extensionstate. It does not mention these files.

" FAILED! Such type of file is not allowed as an attachment "

Kindly suggest.

Regards,

Priyanka

The error is unrelated to extensionstate.

In 9.40, web tier now includes whitelist configuration. Only the file extensions specified in the web.xml file can be uploaded. (This is specified in the release notes and in the SM Help Server). This configuration is completely independent of extenstionstate, but you can only upload files which are not blocked by either setting.

Two places to check,

1 )  from 'extensionstate' table.

2) The web.xml file parameters setting for web-tier only.

refer below thread,
