Fill into a character field a single value from an array

Hello,

I have an array in the vendor table that contains multiple values.

what i need is to select a value from this array into the incident record after i select the vendor.

I added a link line but my issue is the field i want to fill into is character.

so the fill brings {1,2,3} the whole array into a single field , how can i select only one value from it .

Thanx

Re: Fill into a character field a single value from an array

Hi lana qasem,

you could easly access a single line of an array in a link record by adding a comma and the line number behind the fieldname.

i.e. the filed escalation in the vendor record is an array field. for this example escalation = {"line1","line2","line3","lastline"}

If you would like to access the 3rd line in the variable "sTemp" you have to use "sTemp = escalation,3"

I have attached a screenshot from the RAD Debugger with an example and one screenshot from a link line.
